Unanimously, the World Court of Human Rights has established, verbatim, that there is no right to same-sex marriage”. The 47 judges from the 47 countries of the Council of Europe, which are members of the Plenary Court of Strasbourg (the most important human rights court in the world), published a statement of great relevance which has been surprisingly silenced by the progress of information and its field of influence. In fact, all 47 justices unanimously endorsed the ruling that “there is no right to same-sex marriage. The sentence was based on a myriad of philosophical and anthropological considerations based on the natural order, common sense, scientific reports and, of course, positive law. In the latter case, in particular, the judgment was based on Article 12 of the European Convention on Human Rights. This also equates to treaty resolutions relating to human rights, in particular articles 17 of the P San José Act and 23 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. In these historic resolutions, the Court decided that the notion of family contemplates not only “the traditional concept of marriage, that is, the union of a man and a woman”, but also that they should not be imposed on governments an “obligation to open marriage to persons of the same sex”. With regard to the principle of non-discrimination, the Court also added that there is no discrimination, since “states are free to reserve marriage only to heterosexual couples”.

GENEROSITY IS NOT ABOUT GIVING OUT WHAT YOU DON’T NEED BUT WHAT YOU NEED MOST!

In a restaurant in one of the American states, the restaurant waitress handed the lunch menu to a man and his wife, and before they looked at the menu, they asked her to offer them the two cheapest dishes because they did not have enough money after not receiving their salary for several months. Due to financial challenges faced by the entity they work for.

The waitress, Sadrat didn’t think long. She suggested two dishes to them and they agreed without hesitation as long as they were the cheapest. She brought the two orders and they ate them greedily, and before they left they asked the waitress for the bill. She returned to them with a piece of paper inside her billing wallet on which she wrote what it meant: “I paid your bill from my personal account out of consideration for your circumstances. This is the sum of one hundred dollars as a gift from me, and this is the least I can do for you. Thank you for your kindness. Signed by Sadrat.”

The couple was very happy as they left the restaurant.
What is striking about the previous situation is that Sadrat felt extremely happy to pay the couple’s food bill despite her difficult financial circumstances. She has been saving for about a year the cost of an automatic washing machine that she would like to buy, and any money she wastes will postpone the date of her acquisition of this dream device, as she washes clothes with an old washing machine.

But what saddened her most was Sadrat’s friend scolding her when she found out about the matter. She denounced her behavior; Because she deprived herself and her child of money that she needed more than others to buy a washing machine.

Before remorse could seep into her after her friend’s protest against her initiative, she received a call from her mother telling her in a loud voice: “What did you do, Sadrat?”
She replied in a low, trembling voice, fearing an unbearable shock: “I didn’t do anything. What happened?”
Her mother replied: “Facebook is on fire praising you and praising your behavior. Sayyed and his wife posted your message to them on Facebook after you paid the bill on their behalf and it was shared by many. I am proud of you.” …
She had barely finished her conversation with her mother when a school friend called her indicating that her message had been circulated virally on all digital social platforms.
As soon as Sadrat opened her Facebook account, she found hundreds of messages from television producers and press reporters asking to meet her to talk about her distinctive initiative.
The next day, Sadrat appeared on the air of one of the most famous and most watched American television shows. The presenter of the program gave her a very luxurious washing machine, a modern television set, and ten thousand dollars. I obtained a purchase voucher for five thousand dollars from an electronics company. Gifts rained down on her until they reached more than $100,000 in appreciation of her great humanitarian behavior.

Two meals that cost her no more than a few dollars + $100 changed her life.
Generosity is not about giving what you do not need, but about giving what you most need.

INDEED GOVERNOR ABDI GUYO DELIVERS!

180 Women Groups in Burat Ward, consisting of 50 women per group got an investment boost of a whopping 34 million from Governor Abdi GUYO’S fundraiser.

The Women divided the amount equally, per group and are now actively participating in BUSSINESS activities that are sure to put food on the table for 9000 households.

100 plus Women Groups in Ngaremara got a boost of 17 million divided equally among the groups that boosted their capacity to broaden the respective household incomes and hence put food on the table for 5000 households.

150 Youths formed of three Youth Groups blessed with 3 Nissan Matatus are putting food on their tables as well as making some good savings from the proceeds of the passenger vehicles operating on different routes.
One hundred Bodabodas provided for 33 stages I e. Three per stage have elevated Youths whose one year savings of Kshs. 300 daily from each of the Bodabodas is set to purchase three more Bodabodas for the second tier beneficiaries of the group.
Two of the Youths who were alternating users ( hirers) of the machine have meanwhile been getting relative income for their households.

4 Tuktuks provided for Youths are set to purchase four more Tuktuks one year down the line as the alternate users were comfortably putting food on their tables daily.

Meanwhile 30 Hairdresser equipment and three Car washing machines are set to purchase an equal number to support other members of their respective groups, one year down the line, as it serves the daily income of those first beneficiaries.

So far, the invaluable efforts of unprecedented philanthropy have elevated over 15000 households out of absolute poverty, while a similar number are in the que to be elevated by proceeds of the same investment.

What a strategy! What a success.

Governor Abdi GUYO’S is exemplary!

It is no surprise that Governor Abdi Ibrahim Hassan has once again rendered Isiolo on top of the table as always, whenever performance rankings are published.

The workaholic son of the soil whose development records at the City County where he served for one term as Councillor and two terms as MCA coupled with Majority and minority leadership regalia respectively, talks for itself.

Governor Guyo shelved politics and political engagements immediately he was pronounced as the elected Governor and embarked on the road to fast-track the elevation of Isiolo to another level.

🦈From the heavy investment of a whopping 452m into the long stalled Isiolo International Abbatoir to open up enormous opportunities to attract massive investment avenue that is sure to open up Isiolo and in turn uplift the population’s livelihoods like never before.

🦈From sealing loopholes in Revenue collection basket and the resultant tripling of Revenue from 102m in 2021 to 286m in 2023;

🦈From the aggressive revival of long stalled projects such as the Market and County Headquarters.

🦈From embarking on harvesting of the crucial commodity ( Water) to mobilizing support from like minded institutions, and hence realizing an additional 25 Boreholes in one and half years. This is in camparizon to 44 similar Boreholes realized for past sixty plus years, since Kenya got it’s independence.

🦈From erecting unprecedented number of ECD Centers (20 to be exact) to introducing nutritional subsidies for ECD Learners.

🦈From APU Centers here, Water Reservoirs there, Nurses Residence here to Maternity wings there, from Equipping of Labs here and there to Mortuary Rehabilitation there, From Emergency interventions there, the fact of mushroomed ingredients of diverse projects have been witnessed and that has rendered Isiolo shine beyond reproach.

No wonder therefore there hasn’t been mention of excellence in performances of devolved units, without the name of Isiolo cropping up second or third on the table even though we are the second from the bottom in terms of equitable shares received from Exchequer.
A dedicated committed Leader at the helm is capable of pushing the lowest recipient County in terms of Resources to the top of the table in terms of development.
No wonder the great Boran saying of wisdom refers to such matters as “MINNI DHIIRA CHINAACHAN DALCHIIS which near translates to; the Masculine great folks cause delivery through the ribs!

Isiolo’s fire Brigade this morning went into swift action that saved a furniture store that almost  caught fire, which would’ve costed quite exorbitant.

The fire that started at the property next to Kenya Power Offices was so huge and only centimeters away from the wooden storey furniture store when the fire engine driver realized the situation and rushed to action, a deserving move that saved furniture from  sing reduced to ashes.

Thumbs up for the Isiolo County fire Brigade and a deserving salute for the County Government of Isiolo under the wise leadership of Governor Abdi Guyo, who, not only ensured the fire Engine back on the road after some gruesome, costly repairs as well as relocating the fire Engine from Municipality to the County Assembly parking.

It takes quite an intimate, deep hearted commitment for a Governor to intervene in School Heads transfer, in the best interest of the Students and performance reputation of the given School.
Especially bearing in mind the Ag. Head Teacher’s efforts elevated the average grade from 3.6 three years ago to 5.3 today.

Isiolo Boys HighSchool, once a star School that was fancied and looked upon in the entire Region have dwindled for quite sometime owing to poor management.

With an infrastructure capable of accommodating over 500, the number of students attracted by the school have nosedived to below two hundred.

Even thought Education, with the exception of ECD is not devolved,? the performance of our sons and daughters in National Examination is supposedly of critical concern across the board..

It’s an open secret that the Ag. Head-teacher at Isiolo Boys have turned the table on underperformance that have bedevilled the school for quite a while.
The foiled attempt to cut short, the improved status of the school performance owing to the narrow nepotistic focus of a Commissioner at the TSC, in favour of a clan-sake, is a disastrous endeavour that deserves to be rejected altogether.

Furthermore, the purpose of institutions such as School Board and Parent Teachers Association is to monitor the Administration of such institutions and therefore gives such entities a better understanding of the ongoing in such Institutions.

Owing to the advise of the School Board and parents, Governor Abdi Guyo’s timely intervention to stop dumping of rejects at such a learning institution deserves acknowledgement, appreciation and accolades.

It takes a caring and concerned servant Leadership to reach out to uphold integrity outside his area of jurisdiction in the best interest of our learners and parents of such learners.

As for those shouting at the top of their voices in solidarity with one Head teacher who is being favoured to await his final year of service, with total disregard for the hundreds of students whose future is determined by their performance at that crucial stage of learning, it’s just too unfortunate, barbaric and shaming.
Kudos to the Governor, H.E. Abdi Ibrahim Guyo, for reaching out in this deserving cause. Kudos to the School Board for standing up in defence of the interest of our children and uphold the reputation of our School.

There have been quite some speculations, spin and conspiracy theories around Isiolo Stadium that have been taking rounds mainly in
social medias.

Disgusting as it may, the direction taken by the authors of the spin, is so politically inclined to taint the image of perceived political opponents, if only to achieve some political mileage, the truth of the matter however, is quite the opposite.

The construction of Isiolo Stadium commenced in May 2019 at a cost of 345 million and has never been adjusted at any time.

From 120 million approved from 2019/2020 a total of 58,2421,70 was paid out to the contractor, to cater for up to the level of the project phase that was covered.

During the 2020/21 financial year, from 152 million approved budget, 90 million was paid out, owing to the construction phase that was covered.

The 2021/22 financial year, from the approved budget of 90 million, 75 million was paid out, again owing to the stage of the construction.

And from the 2022/23 financial year. 18,634,759 was spent out of the 32 m approved.

Issues of structural discrepancies reported by the Sports Department, that is in itself camouflaged under some political influence sharply contrasting a report by the County Public Works raised eyebrows.

The County Secretary, under instruction of the Governor, wrote a letter to the State Department of Public Works to assist in determining the structural status of the project, in line with the agreement entered, and if the construction met the threshold of the contract.

The Permanent Secretary, State Department of Public Works assigned a team composed of an Architect, a Mechanical and Building Service Engineer, an Electrical Engineer and Structural Engineer to inspect the project and report to the PS as well as the Governor.

The resultant report concurred with the County Public Works Office that the construction is up to standard and met the threshold of the contract.

The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission also got somewhat involved in the investigation to determine if there is any foul play in the construction that was riddled with quite abundant roumers and suspicions whose origin is the usual source of its custom domicile,( I’m sure anyone who’ve ever set foot in Isiolo will understand where this triangle exists), but as we speak they’re through with their investigation with nothing untoward to report about the project, hence gave a clean bill of Health.

On the 10th July 2024, the Chief Officer Youth & Sports Hon. Diba Abduba alongside the Chief Officer Finance Hon. Habiba Jirmo were invited into the EACC Offices where it was confirmed that there are no corruption issues that were determined by the investigations.

A clearance certificate is expected from EACC before the end of the week or early next week to give way for a little re-adjustment of structural and architectural nature, in line with the standards of the Government of the perfectionist Governor Abdi Guyo and let the completion of the remaining 24 percent of the project that is confirmed 76 percent complete.

The first assignment Isiolo Governor H.E. Abdi Ibrahim Hassan took upon himself was to seal loopholes in the Revenue collection docket and the resultant triumph is out there for all to celebrate.

His first year at the helm realized over fifty percent increase in revenue collection, jumping from Kshs.107,833,873 to
Kshs. 152,700,174 as his second year
realized an ecstatic Kshs. 285,102,660, hence almost 100 percent!

While clueless hate oriented busybodies rhetoric keep lingering around digitalization, the Governor has proved himself an all-time, no nonsense performer.

As we speak, the digitalization of Revenue collection is approaching final touches and haters will soon be bankrupted from yet another area of their disgusting spin and speculations, in a couple of months.

Big up for the County Revenue Team led by Chief Officer Feisal Hassan for the great job. Keep it up!

The immaculate Governor Abdi Guyo is reknowned for his astute wrestling of corruption and corrupt gurus from the Nairobi City County when, as Majority Leader in the County Assembly he single handedly mobilized fellow MCAs and brought down the Nairobi goliaths, the likes of Michael Mbuvi Sonko as well as the then Speaker.

The persistent salvos by some local political quarters within, meant to squeeze something out of Governor Guyo in terms of kickbacks are sure to hit a snag as his focus is on Service delivery in the best interest of the electorate.

Governor Abdi Guyo’s enviable performance in key development sectors have sent shivers down the spines of non-performing politicians and hate agents alike, so much so that marauding fault-finders have found their way into social media creating falsehoods, spin and speculations and conspiracy theories alike.

The unprecedented Leadership focussed on Servant Leadership have refused to be hoodwinked by these miserable fault-finders and therefore continues to prosper and triumph, sky is the limit!
